AFMNet
The Advanced Foods and Materials Network (AFMNet) is Canada's front line of research and development in the area of advanced foods and bio-materials - from new, lower cost antibiotics, to improved frozen food quality to faster healing wound dressings.
AFMnet is a dynamic, national network of hundreds of scientific researchers, professionals, industry partners and government agencies, working on 20 research projects that are breaking new ground and discovering ways to improve the foods we eat, the products we make, and the goods we buy.
We are already producing innovative research, published results, patented applications, and commercial initiatives for the transfer of technology to Canadian companies and public agencies.
FOODTECH Canada has linkages to AFMNet researchers and facilities, some in the same location as our member centres. FOODTECH has an MOU with AFMNet to suport the commercial transfer of R&D that evolves from AFMNet research.
